Sometimes, it's necessary to delete Cost Centers, especially when duplicates have been created. Let's use an example where we need to delete several cost centers because duplicates have been created.
If you look at the example, there are 4 cost centers with different names (Producto, Product, Prroduct, Prod). Let's imagine that we want to delete all of them except the one named "Producto" that has the most employees assigned to it.
To do this, we go to the three-dot menu on each row and select the delete option.
Clicking on delete will open a modal that will indicate the number of employees associated with our cost center.
In cases where our cost center has associated employees, we can assign them to another cost center so that we don't have to change the assignment one by one. If you leave the reassignment field empty, the employees will be left without a cost center.
Once all the employees of the Cost Centers are deleted and reassigned, you will have a single Cost Center, in this case, "Producto," which will allow you to continue working in a more organized manner.
