A benefit bag is a digital wallet where an amount is made available to the employee to spend on specific benefits (like food, transport, etc.), without an immediate transfer from the company’s account.
When you create a benefit package paid by the company, you’ll need to choose a delivery mode, which determines how the funds are allocated to employees for their benefits.
In consumption-based delivery, the money is not transferred to the employee right away. Instead, it becomes available in the benefit bag, but the amount is only deducted from the company’s balance when the employee uses it. This allows for better control over spending and more accurate payroll reporting, as only the amount actually consumed is reported and invoiced.
